| Narcotic peddler denied of bail | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 23: Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu (CJM) today dismissed the bail application filed by Ravi Kumar who was arrested City Police u/s 20 & 21 NDPS Act r/w section 8 of the Same Act alongwith 160 intoxicant capsules. Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu (CJM) Jatinder Singh Jamwal after hearing CPO who opposed the bail application n various ground including that the accused was involved serious offence of NDPS Act and referred the notification issued by the Ministry of Finance, Dept of Revenue, Govt of India that the quantity of narcotics in the drugs applies to the entire mixture, solution or narcotics drugs and not to just to its pure drugs/contents. Court after gone through the notification observed that accused in the present does not deserve the concession of bail and bail application is dismissed. (JNF) |
