KPs for preserving of Jwala Ji Shrine in Srinagar | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 23 : The Kashmiri Pandit community today demanded preserving of Jwala Ji Asthapan Shrine at Khrew at Srinagar. Jwala Ji Asthapna at Khrew is one of the most revered shrines of Hindus, particularly the Kashmiri Pandits, president of Shri Jwala Ji Samiti M K Raina told reporters here. Raina said the shrine is situated at a hillock and is surrounded by both cultivable and non-cultivable land. The Samiti head said they approached Jammu and Kashmir Revenue Minister Raman Bhalla for the preservation of the Jwala Ji Asthapan Shrine in Srinagar and the concerned minister patiently listen the request and woes of the representatives of different Kash miri Pandits organization and assured them of a workable solution of the problem regarding Jwala Ji Shrine. The government of Jammu and Kashmir must pass a Bill on Shrines and Temples so that they can be preserved and action can be initiated against the bodies and organis ations not maintaining the sanctity of such places, he added. |
