Jammu, Jan 23: Various organizations in a meeting have criticized the decision Municipal Tax imposed on the shopkeepers and house owners and have termed it as putting burden on the masses of the state under present crisis of inflation and price hike. S K Sharma, general secretary, Jammu development Council, Jammu. Province, Jammu today organized a meeting under the chairmanship of Krishen Lal Abrol, President Jammu Development Council, Jammu Province, Jammuin which members said that the imposing of Municipal Tax has already been rejected by the Jammu Development Council and president Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu. Krishan Lal Abrol added that Jammu Development Council, Chamber of Commerce and Industries Jammu and Jammu Lawyers Association have opposed Municipal Tax. S K Sharma, General Secretary, KL Saraf, Chairman, JDA Council, Ashok Kumar Nischal, Sr Vice President, JDC J&K and various heads of markets associations have cautioned the concerned authorities against the said decision. |
