| Police-public meet held at Majalta | | | Udhampur Jan 15
A police-public meet chaired by DIG Udhampur-Doda Range, L D Mohanty and SSP Udhampur, P R Manhas held today at Majalta in Udhampur. The meeting was attended by large number of local people including Sarpanch, Panch and prominent citizens of the area. The meeting was organized by Majalta Police Station.
In the meeting, people highlighted several of their demands before the DIG. People demanded exclusive police recruitment rally for the unemployed youth of the area. They also highlighted the poor condition of the roads in the area. DIG gave a patient hearing to the problems of the people and assured them tom take up the matter before the concerned authorities. Meanwhile, people also praised the role of police in bringing down the crime rate in the area.
