Achieve targets fixed for current fiscal: Dy CM | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 24: Directing for 100 % utilization of funds allotted under various schemes in the current fiscal, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand impressed upon the officers to achieve targets, adding that those who fulfill goals would be suitably rewarded. Deputy Chief Minister today chaired a high level review meeting of officers of Housing & Urban Development Department (H&UDD), to review the status of different urban infrastructure projects launched throughout the state. The meeting also discussed status of utilization certificates to be submitted under 13th Finance Commission. Threadbare discussion were held on various issues pertaining to functioning and utilization of funds allotted to SUIDA, LAWDA, JDA, SDA, SMC,JMC, JUDA, SUDA, Housing Board and Local Bodies. Showing dissatisfaction over the slow pace of progress on various project executed under execution in H&UDD, Deputy Chief Minister exhorted upon the officers to gear up their men and machinery and work in double shift, so that the ongoing projects would be completed with in the stipulated time. He warned officers against any laxity, adding that no delay would be tolerated in the prestigious projects.Referring to BSUP scheme, he impressed upon the concerned to identify the genuine beneficiaries so that the benefit of the scheme would reach to the right candidate. He directed the officers to ensure cent percent utilization of funds before ending February of this financial year, to avoid any lapse. He also directed for regular submission of utilization certificates of various projects to the Joint Director Planning. Regarding the issue of Media Colonies in both Jammu and Srinagar and Legislatures colony, he asked the officers to initiate the process of land identification at the earliest. |
