Internally displaced status for Kashmiri Pandits demanded | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 24: An emergency meeting of executive body of Displaced Coordination Committee Jagti was held under the chairman ship of Dilip Kumar Pandita . The meeting paid tributes to martyrs who were brutally killed by Pakistan sponsored terrorists in 1947, 1965, 1971and 1989. The meeting unanimously resolved to extend gratitude to Tara Chand (Dy CM) who visited the camp and patronized the efforts of Kashmiri Pandit community in protecting the religious and cultural ethos of community. R N Dhar general secretary strongly pleaded that the community on the whole stands honest and peace loving. In any case any individual is involved in mal -practice that does not mean the whole community is dishonest. The meeting strongly demanded the status of internally displaced community for Kashmiri Pandits, temple and shrine bill be passed in upcoming assembly session, enhancement of cash relief upto 12000/- per month. Keeping in view the upcoming exams the vacancy of lectures be filled at the earliest, adequate transport facilities to Jagti township, construction of 300 shops in Jagti township, construction of road from Kandoli Mandir to Jagti township, filling of 800 de-reserved posts.
