| Bail granted to CAO Kupwara | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 24: In a criminal appeal filed by Abdul Qayoom Bhat former Chief Agriculture Officer who was convicted and sentenced by the Special Judge Anti corruption Jammu , Vacation Judge Justice JP Singh today after hearing Advocate PN Raina assisted by Advocate JA Hamal appearing for the appellant whereas Deputy AG BR Chandan appeared for the State, admitted the appeal to hearing and issued notice which was accepted by Deputy AG for the state. The court suspended the sentence awarded by the Special Judge Anti corruption Jammu on January 20, 2012 and also granted bail on his furnishing personal bond and surety in the amount of Rs 20,000 each to the satisfaction of the court. The appellant released shall however, be subject to deposit of fine Rs 10,000 with the Special Judge Anti corruption Jammu. JNF |
