Mentors across the border resolve `money' issues | Two factions of separatist organization re-unite | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Jan 24: With their mentors across the border resolving all the `money' issues between them, two factions of a separatist organization based mainly in Poonch and Rajouri districts have forged unity. According to sources close to the organization, the mentors have made clear that they were ready to finance both the factions separately. At the time of split, an activist of a particular faction told this correspondent that the chairman had received at last Rs 6 crore from across the border during the past one decade. "Of which, eighty percent of the cash was utilized by chairman for his family members and was lying in the bank accounts of his relatives", he said. He also pointed towards the houses constructed by chairman and his relatives with the money they had received from across the border in the name of Azaadi movement. He had also admitted that he and his other colleagues were also getting monthly salary from the chairman. At the time of his separation from the organization, the new chairman had said that he wants to get the details of the total Rs 6 crore they have received from across the border and he wanted to know where the amount has been spent. Sources said, in the past few months, the new group of the organization Pakistan embassy four times at New Delhi and requested for the registration of his group for funding. Earlier, as per sources, the group was ensured and encouraged by some elements in the embassy and was ensured that their group will also be registered separately. But finally, sources said, the new organization was directed from across the border to shut up their shops and work on the old pay scale. Sources said the new group has approached the original faction requested for re-entry which was accepted by as per directions from forces across the border . When contacted, Chairman of the new group, admitted that his group has again merged with the old group but he didn't divulge the details of merger and kept silence over the allegations he had leveled earlier. Not only he, sources said, Chairman of the organization had also said at the time his organization was divided. He had also accused the chairman of the break away group of misappropriating RS 80 lakh in the name of organizational works . In fact, this organization has been relying on paid workers across the region . As per sources , the organization has kept at least one worker at each block level who is being paid monthly salary. However, the organization shows in its records complete office in each block and adjusts money in lakhs as salary amount of workers at each block level. But the fact remains that only one worker is paid at each block level. Sources said, the trouble erupted among the cadres few months back when they came to know that a huge amount was drawn and adjusted by the chairman in their name . Sources in the organization, said that more than seven crores have been received by this organization from across the border in the past one decade. The amount has been shown as compensation given to the families of militants and renovation of the grave yards where the militants were buried. Not only this, the organization has also shown in its records that it has been paying a handsome amount to some legal people fighting their cases and large number of amount has been shown to paid to the jail inmates who were behind the bars in connection with militancy. |
