Ex. tehsildhar's son among 3 nabbed in abduction case | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 26: Within 24 hours of the alleged kidnapping of 17-year-old Charanjeet Singh, the Gandhi Nagar, Police claimed to have successfully worked out 'abduction case' with the arrest of three persons including the son of a former revenue official (Tehsildar) and stolen vehicles. After the arrest of three abductors, the kidnapped student Charanjeet, was rescued from their possession and was safely recovered. The arrested have been identified as Narinder Singh alias Sonu son of Hardeep Singh of Digiana Cam, who is electrician by profession, Veer Bhadur Singh Wazir son of ex tehsildhar Mohan Singh Wazir of Bandhu Rakh. It is to mention that the elder brother of Veer Bhadur namely Vickram Singh is at presently lodged in district jail after Public Safety Act (PSA) was lodged against him and Kamarjeet Singh alias Rocky son of Gurnam Charan Singh of Nanak Nagar. Two vehicles including stolen Ford Figo car bearing registration number JK02AT/5332 and an Alto Car bearing registration number JK02AP/4047 and three mobile hand sets were also recovered from the possession of the kidnappers, a police officer said. Police sources said that the victim Charanjeet Singh son of Davinder Pal Singh of Gandhi Nagar was driving his Ford Figo car in Gandhi Nagar area when he was kidnapped. The complaint of kidnapping was lodged with the police by the uncle of the kidnapped youth. After registration of a case u/s 364/34 RPC, a police team led by SHO Bishnesh Kumar under the supervision of SSP Jammu Prabat Singh was constituted which cracked down the kidnapping case. After the arrest the trio has been put under sustained interrogation to dig out about other criminal activities done by them.
