| SHO Gangyal attached for dereliction of duty | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 26: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Jammu Prabhat Singh on Thursday attached Station House Officer (SHO) Gangyal to District Police Line, Jammu for dereliction of duty .
The SHO was attached, official sources said, SSP (Jammu) Prabhat Singh, late last night conducted surprise checking of the city and other areas under his jurisdiction to ensure that checking on all the nakas is being conducted properly.
During his surprise visit, the sources said, SSP went to Gangyal where he allegedly found SHO Gangyal Inspector Jai Pal sleeping in police station, following which he was attached with the District Police Line, Jammu.
"The SHO was sleeping, while the cops were checking the vehicles at naka in Gangyal, a senior police official said adding the surprise checking was conducted by the SSP at 2:15 am.
