| Citizens Forum decries delay in three fly arterial ways in Jammu | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 26: Citizens Forum has rued inordinate delay in construction of three fly overs in Jammu city, which stand already approved and for which funds have already been sanctioned, for removing the traffic jams and conjunction on the roads. In a letter addressed to the State Governor N N Vohra, the Citizen Forum President R K Chadha has sought his intervention in the matter urging him for issuing necessary instructions to the state government and the Economic Reconstruction Agency government of India to take up the work on these three fly over/arterial ways which already stand approved and complete the same at the earliest, in order to ease traffic in the city.
These fly overs were identified at one from Vikram Chowk to Presentation Convent School Jammu, the second from Jewel Chowk to Canal Head and the third from Shakuntala Cinema on the BC road up to Amphala Chowk.
The president Citizen Forum, R.K.Chadha said that in case the concerned authorities do not move in the matter and take in hand the construction of fly over ways to complete these at the earliest, the Forum will file a PIL in the High Court, seeking court directions to the concern in the matter. |
