In his press statement, the HR activist, has alleged that the militant who surrendered in front of security forces was involved in various heinous criminal activities including Prankot Massacre and was not only given privileged treatment but was presented with other benefits too including jobs to the his relatives.
"Demanding probe by Joint Parliament Committee the JKHRDC chairman in his statement further alleged that most of his relatives of surrendered militant have been appointed as SPOs but 'illegally' under appeasement policy. It is further alleged that Bashrat who happens to be the brother of a DySP became instrumental for minting money by some police officers.
Pertinent to mention Basharat's name was also indicated in the FIR lodged by the then Addll SP Anita Sharma who in her statement alleged that Dy SP Reasi used filthy language against her including her alleged connections to HM ultra Basharat.
The verbal dual of senior police officers was a hot spot in media section when three police officers SP Reasi, ASP Reasi and DySP Reasi (Hqrs) were attached immediately after the ugly incident on 10/12/2011. And a FIR registered against DySP Reasi who was booked u/s 294,186RPC against FIR 186 /2011 at Reasi Police Station.
At present the then SP Reasi Anita Sharma has been posted with 15 Bn Deputy Commandant while Keshav Ram Chourasia was directed to remain in PTA Udhampur till his further order on deputation to Australia.
Meanwhile, in the latest development of the incident, DySP Mohd Aslam lodged a fresh plea in the court that no inquiry has been initiated by DIG Udhampur even after the elapse of a month when some senior police officials had a hot verbal argument over the security arrangements during the public rally of the Union Minister Farooq Abdullah.
Sources in police said the DIG Udhampur was then directed to hold an inquiry against the incident by court on the plea by DySP who in his complaint alleged that he was framed by his seniors. In his complaint DySP has further alleged that he was ordered by his SSP to perform duty in the ground, order copy of which he submitted to the court, but in a FIR registered against him on complaint of SP Anita Sharma it is stated that he was not directed for duty. On the basis of the complaint, court reportedly gave fresh order to DIG to submit the inquiry report with in stipulated time.
