| Birth Anniversary of Swami Vishwatmanand Sarswati celebrated | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
RAJOURI, Jan 27: A big programme was today organised on the eve of 53rd Birth Anniversary of Mahamandleshwar Swami Shri Vishwatmanand Sarswati Maharaj in ashram of Swami here in Sunderbani area of Rajouri.
Thousands of devotees paid obeisance to their religious leader and greeted him on his birthday.
Prominent personalties including Union Minister for New and Renewable
Energy and NC patron Dr Farooq Abdullah, MLC Ravinder Sharma, Vice-Chairman of State Kissan Advisory Board Rashpal Singh and senior Govt. officials including Dy. Commissioner Rajouri Ghulam Ahmed Khwaja, DIG Police Rajesh Kumar Yadav, SSP Rajouri Vijay Singh Sambyal among others took part in the programme.
During the programme, Swami taught people about the true path of life and asked them to follow honesty, goodness and religious unity.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Farooq Abdullah said that Swami Ji is spreading education and awareness in people for upholding the status of people of all the religions.
Dr. Farooq also added that under the banner of SVS Charitable Trust, Swami Ji has constructed a Women's College in Rajouri which will be opened soon and girls of the area will get top class education from this institution which is a great step towards the uplift of society. |
