NDKM stages Dogri play 'Kish Kariye Daso' | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 27: Nav Durga Kala Manch (NDKM) today staged Prithvi Sharma's Dogri Play "Kish Kariye Daso" in the ongoing Friday theatre series at Performing Art Studio. The play was directed by Aaditya Bhanu. The play based on the issue of joblessness. The story revolves around educated unemployed youth who are dreaming of white collar jobs despite suggestions of a seasoned tea stall owner that instead of hunting for higher posts and authority they should take up whatever employment comes their way. Initially though the youth resist his suggestions, but as soon as they come across the story of the tea stall owner in question, the youth realize the folly of having chased unrealistic dreams. After having learnt about the life experiences of the tea stall owner, the youth stop hunting for creamy posts and join this very tea stall which they earlier used to visit as part of their job hunting exercise. Aaditya Bhanu, Director Nav Durga Kala Manch while speaking on the occasion appreciated the efforts of young writer and actors who heartedly enacting their respective characters with full ease. He also added that Nav Durga kala Manch has always opened its hands for encouraging young talent of the state. The socially relevant play saw some beautiful performances by actors like Prithvi Sharma, Kamaljeet and Tarun Sharma. Make-up was done by Reetu Manhas while music was handled by Dilshad Shazi and lights were executed by Kannav Chopra. The presentation was done by Sakshi Dogra. |
