| Army organizes medical camp at village Tangtse | | | Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR , Jan 28 : Chushul Warriors Brigade conducted a medical camp on January 27 at Tangtse village for the populace of remote areas of Tangtse.
Commander, Chushul warriors brigade inaugurated the medical camp amidst a large gathering of locals. During day long medical Camp approximately 1000 patients from Tangtse, Tharuk, Sachukul, Chillam, Punpun, Shyok, Laga, Man, Merak, Perma, Durbuk and other nearby small villages were benefited by this medical camp. The patients were provided with free medical checkups and medicine for various illness. Army medical authorities and PHC Tangtse provided the Medical Assistance for the success of the Medical Camp. A team of qualified doctors from the Army Field Hospital & PHC Tangtse carried out a detailed health check up of the locals based on the diagnosis of ailments, besides carrying out medical checkup and distributing the medicines.
Army had made arrangements to pick up villagers from far flung villages so that the benefits of quality and specialist medical care could be availed by the people of Tangtse and neighbouring areas. With the temperature in the region going down to 35 degree below zero, there has been an increase in respiratory tract infections and cold related injuries among the local populace.
The medical camp was greatly appreciated by the people who attended the same in large numbers. Army had also organized lunch for the patients on the occasion. Army is organizing such medical camps Sadbhavana to uplift the quality of life and provide basic amenities to the locals.
Local Administrative Officials and locals have requested Army authorities to organize more such medical camps in the area so that locals can be benefited. |
