| Farmers fields camp organized | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Jan 28: One day "Farmers Field School Camp on wheat crop was organized under the supervision of Agriculture Officer SDO Sat Paul and the area in charge JAEO Smt. Sunita Gupta at Panchayat Kiri, Kathua.
Over 150 farmers participated and got interacted with the agriculture officer about control upon air born yellow disease and management of wheat crop. The SDO Sat Paul and Area In charge Smt Sunita Gupta told the farmers about the importance and necessity of the soil testing in order to get the accurate composition and level of health of the soil.
The expert told that the measure of required quantity of the fungicide Propiconazole and mix well with a small quantity of water and add the remaining quantity of water as specified with thorough agitation for high volume of application through knapsack sprayers or high volume sprayers. On the occasion refreshment was also served to the attendant farmers from the agriculture department.
In the programme JAEO Surjit Singh, Field Officer Blinder Singh, and ReZ employee Suresh Sharma also spoke on the occasion. |
