| JWAM to intensify "Jan Andolan" movement | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 28 : Jammu west assembly movement has decided to intensify the "Jan Andolan" from 1st Feb against the anti people Policies of the Omar Abdulla Government. The decision was taken by the "MOVEMENT" in the working Committee meeting held today with Sunil Dimple president of the "Movement" in chair. The meeting passed a resolution saying people will not pay the revised anti poor people Jazia, the increased water Tariff by the PHE, water regulatory commission. The Movement strongly opposes the planning of the electricity regulatory commission to increase the power tariff again in the near future. The movement will start agitation against the Power Cuts and for the defunct power supply infrastructure of the PDD in the Jammu city. The Traffic scenario in the Jammu City is worsening and the Government is least bothered about it. The movement opposed the imposition of the Traders taxes and the house taxes by the Govt. & Jammu Municipal Corporation. No development is taking place in the winter capital Jammu city. |
