Withdraw new recruitment policy forthwith: JKDYF | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Jan 28: Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Youth Federation (JKDYF) held a protest demonstration led by its state general secretary Advocate Arshid Hussian Baba. Hundreds of JKDYF activists carrying banners and placards marched from Partap Park to Clock Tower Srinagar shouting slogans (withdraw new recruitment policy, enhance upper age limit for recruitment, provide unemployment to the unemployed youth, stop corruption, curb the rising inflation, stop discrimination of youth and make the administration accountable). While addressing the rally, Mohmmad Iqbal Wani state president of the organization said that new recruitment policy is a blow on the job aspiring educated youth, who are already disillusioned by the anti-youth policies of the State Government. Terming the youth as the ingredients of economic prosperity and overall development, the General Secretary Arshid Hussain Baba said that the educated youth of the state are left with only hope of livelihood in Govt. jobs, because the private sector in the state assures limited jobs and those too mainly to the technocrats and professionals. He demanded that the new recruitment should be withdrawn. JKDYF also reiterated its demand for enhancement of upper age limit for recruitment in government services from 37 to 40 years. |
