KP youths suspends chain hunger stir after Bhalla's assurance | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Jan 28: Kashmiri migrant youth who sat on chain hunger strike at Press Club Jammu today to protest against delay in implementation of Prime Minister's Employment Package Scheme. However the protestors suspended their stir after Minister for revenue Raman Bhalla assured their demands to be concede to at earliest. Led by Sanjay Koul and Surinder, A Talashi Sanjayji and Amit Koul protestors alleging the delay in implementation of Cabinet decision with regard to filling up of remaining posts under Prime Ministers package sat on relay hunger strike here outside Press Club of Jammu. The protestors alleged that that process has already been delayed for two years and now the youth have crossed the age limit for seeking jobs in Govt. Deptt, since this is a special package so complete package of 3000 posts need be implemented. They appealed the coalition govt to honor their own commitment and commitment of Prime Minister regarding rehabilitation of kashmiri pandit in valley. However during the protest, Raman Bhalla Minister of Relief and Rehabilitation along with Relief Commissioner Vinod Koul came to the venue and assured the protesting youth of a positive outcome within 7-10 days and asked them to give off the hunger strike after assurance from the Minister the migrant youth called off hunger strike on spot for 10 days. Protestors were accompanied with various leaders of Kashmiri Pandit community who marked their presence on the occasion. Vinod pandit (APMCC), H.N.Jattu (AIKPC), Hera Lal Pandita (congress leader), R K Bhat,(YAIKS) , R L Raina, M K Tickoo (Social worker) and others were also present to extend their moral support to the protesting migrant youths. |
