| Muharram arrangements finalized at Anantnag | | | Anantnag|January 16
Arrangements for providing essential commodities, power, drinking water, sanitation, health care and other matters during Muharam in Shia populated areas of Sofi Pora, Chatergul, Shahu, Halkhah, Shichan, Bonagund and Dooru in Anantnag district were finalized at a joint meeting of officers and representatives of Shia community today. Deputy Commissioner Anantnag chaired the meeting.
It was decided that additional sugar and atta would be provided to the members of Shia community on ration tickets for which 60 quintal atta and 30 quintal sugar have been stocked in these areas. Moreover, 350 quintals of firewood have also been kept available at these places while generator sets would be installed to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned to undertake repairs and renovation of roads and lanes leading to various Imam bharas. |
