Hindi play 'Jhoomta Hua Pull' staged | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 29: In its endeavour to present the best theatre and literature of all the languages before the people of Jammu. Satish Alekar's play 'Jhoomta Hua Pull' staged here today at Natrang Studio Theatre in Sunday Theatre Series. Satish Alekar is one of the most celebrated personality of Marathi literature. The play has been directed by Neeraj Kant. The play contained many metaphorical and symbolic meanings into it which added on the overall theatrical experience of this intimate theatre presentation. When the play opens, a young girl is shown sitting in a garden and playing a melodious tune from mouth organ, she was so much contained into herself that the outer world had no relevance to her at that particular moment. Suddenly she was interrupted by a young boy who asked her many weird but somewhat logical questions. Though their first conversation was not much cordial but because of the depth in the thoughts of the boy, they become close friends and start meeting each other regularly. But they belonged to different social backgrounds, where the girl was from a well settled and well educated family, having a big bungalow and all the luxuries, the boy was from a very poor family, having a very small and shabby home and no luxuries at all. 'Jhoomta Hua Pull', in this play has shown as a shaking connection, sometimes it connects two hills sometimes two sides of the river and sometimes people having opposite social status and the moment one tries to cross this bridge, it starts shaking. Balwinder Singh and Sajra Qadir played their roles very well, justifying the insight required for their respective characters. They were equally supported by Uplaksh Singh and Syed Fardeen. The music was operated by Mohd Yaseen. Sushil Raina looked after the Hall Management. Sumeet Sharma coordinated the show and also did the presentations. |
