| Rs.42.90 spent on development of Kupwara | | | Kupwara|January 16 Against an allocation of Rs. 76.13 crore an amount of Rs 42.90 crore has been spent on various development works and welfare schemes in Kupwara district up to ending December. This was stated at an officers meeting convened by District Development Commissioner, here today. It was apprised that under Agriculture and allied sectors Rs 4.68 crore have been spent while under Rural Development sector Rs 3.85 crore has been incurred on various schemes which include SGRY, GRY, IAY, RHS and other ongoing development schemes. Under social and general services sector, Rs 21.16 crore have been spent out of which Rs 10.46 crore have been incurred on Education sector while under Health sector Rs. 6 crore have been utilized for creation of Health infrastructure and special services to the masses. Under PHE sector, Rs 2.72 crore have been incurred for providing potable water for drinking purposes. It was informed that Rs. 10 crore have been spent on road communication under R&B sector by which 33 kms have been black topped and 80 kms mettled and re-mettled, beside 19 kms have been made fair weather. |
