| Workshop for artisans of cooperative societies held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 29: One day awareness camp/workshop of handicrafts artisans members of Cooperative Societies of Jammu district was organized at village Sohanjna (Block Satwari). The camp was organized by the Dy Registrar INDUSCOS, Jammu with the collaboration of Industrial Cooperative Societies of Jammu District with an objective for organizing such camps/workshop is to make aware the artisans/members of the Handicrafts Industrial Cooperative Societies and masses in generally especially amongst the women folk. While speaking on the occasion Dy Registrar stressed the artisans to adopt the handicrafts sector to established their own small scale Industries. As this sector provides a best opportunity of employment as about seven million people of the country are affiliated with this sector. He also spoke that the Department is not only organizing such camps at Urban areas, but also in rural and far flung areas such as Kishtwar, Ramban, Udhampur, Poonch and Rajouri District. The participants expressed gratitude and appreciate the efforts made by the officers of various Departments to make aware the peoples about the schemes run by their Departments. |
