| Speed Ball team excels in NZ meet | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 29: The state speed ball team excelled in the North Zone Championship held at New Delhi, winning 12 medals, including three gold and five silver in different age groups. The 13-member team took part in the zonal event under the banner of J&K Speed Ball Association. Heena Bali, a student of Carmel Convent School adjudged solo champion after she emerged as highest scorer with 198 shots in two minutes. Team was accorded welcome at Jammu Railway Station by association members and the parents as also Deputy Inspector General of Police, Railways, AK Atri. Meanwhile, a handout issued by the Association, here today informed that all the gold medal winners in the zonal competition have been selected for the national champioinship to be held in Himachal Pradesh in April. Mean winners: Kunwar Uday(bronze), Amandeep Singh (silver), Gurmehar Singh Soodi (gold), Rohan Julka (bronze), Udhay Veer Singh (bronze), Honey Bali (gold), Neel Bhan (bronze), Heena Bali (gold), Manika Sharma (silver), Shudhanshu Saraf.
