| Video coach driver convicted in accident case | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Jan 29: The driver of a video coach was convicted by district judicial mobile magistrate Y P Sharma here today in a road accident case.
Ritesh Kumar alias Bitu, son of Yog Raj of Dera Baba Bhimber, Reasi, was ordered to undergo simple imprisonment of two years and a fine of Rs 5,000 for commission of offence under section 304-A of RPC, simple imprisonment of one year and a fine of Rs 1,000 for commission of offence under section 338 of RPC, simple imprisonment of six months and a fine of Rs 500 for commission of offence under section 337 of RPC and simple imprisonment of six months and a fine of Rs 1,000 for commission of offence under section 279 of RPC.
In the mishap, a car was also badly damaged. While several passengers had survived with critical injuries, R K Mangotra, the then session judge, Kathua, and one Pushpa Devi were killed. |
