State-PSU employees support ‘protest call of GEJAC’

Jammu, Jan 29: In order to mount pressure on the deaf and dumb coalition Govt hundreds of Govt./PSU/autonomous bodies and employees will demonstrate on the combined call of EJACs of both the regions on Feb 4. According to a spokesperson the employees/daily wagers/consolidate /adhoc will hold protest demonstration in front of office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu on 4.2.2012 at 12.30 noon. Spokesperson stated that a meeting of senior GEJAC leaders was held here today in which Subhash Verma, Suman Sharma, Prem Singh Bawa, Sushil Sudan, Suresh Sharma, Pardip Sharma, P.S. Chib, Mohd. Farooq , Bushan S.Verma ,Sawaran Singh, Rattan Doshi, Jasmit Singh, Gh.Nabi , Gurmit singh and others attended and discussed future programme. GEJAC leadership appealed leaders of associations/unions/federations to assemble at the dharna site along with good number of employees to make the demonstrations a success and eye-opener for this Govt which is delaying tactics to demands of the employees. The employees time and again had been highlighting their demands including release of arrears in cash in two installments, regularization of all the daily wagers who have completed seven years of service especially in PDD, PHE and all departments, regularization of adhoc, contractual  employees, removal of  impracticable conditions imposed on the withdrawal of GPF and removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadres.
Other demands include enhancement retirement age to 60, payment of timely salary to the PSU  employees, regularsation of EVs/REts , framing of revised amended policy for REZs, budgetary support and revial of  sick PSUs and diversification of their activities.
All employees and daily wagers, adhoc , contractual employees are requested to attend and make the demonstration a great success.
