| Cong leader Pathania demands fresh municipal committees | | | Early Times Report
Majalta, Jan 29: R S Pathania, a noted lawyer and a prominent Youth Congress leader of the area today demanded setting up of fresh Municipal Committees at Majalta & Manwal.
While addressing local public at various occasions during his tour, Youth Congress leader said that Majalta is Tehsil headquarters since long and by merging adjoining areas of nearby villages, Kuarnoo, Sartari, Peuni, Kathil & Baryalta, a viable municipality could come up at Majalta. "Otherwise, also Tehsil headquarter cannot be developed at par with the limited funding of Rural Development Department & other deptts, he said.
He also emphasized for setting up of a municipality at Manwal. "Manwal is in the map of Archeological Survey of India (ASI) and an ancient Devi Bani temple and Baba Pair shrine add to religious importance of the area, he added. He has sought personal intervention of Chief Minister in fulfilling of these evocative public demands.Pathania also sought a Sub-District Hospital for Majalta and an Accidental Hospital at Manwal. Besides this Sub-Health Centres at Chor Panjian, Pathwar, Neeli, Parla Sundla, Tajoor & Chani. Youth Congress leaders, sarpanches and panches of the Majalata and Manwal also accompanied withy him during these visits |
