| Youth killed, girl injured in Rajouri | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 30: A youth was killed while a girl got critically injured when the two-wheeler they were riding on was hit by a private vehicle in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The motorbike on which the deceased identified as Mohammad Tahir (19) and the girl namely Luban Kouser (23), was hit by a vehicle driven by a youth late last evening in the outskirts of the Rajouri town, police here today said.
The injured girl was shifted to the district hospital from where she was referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital, police said adding that the girl in her statement identified the accused as Imtiaz Ahmed, an advocate by profession and a District Youth Congress leader.
Police have registered a hit and run case.
However following a protest strong staged by the locals a case under FIR number 20/2012 under section 307, which was converted into 302 RPC was registered against the accused. |
