JKCLFCSA rue over non-redressal of long pending demands | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 30: J&K Central Level Fertilizers Cooperative Societies Association (JKCLFCSA) has rued over the attitude of state government in addressing the long pending demands of the association. A meeting of JKCLFCSA was held under the Chairmanship of M.Y. Zarger Chairman of the association in this regard. Among other members, the meeting was attended by all the office bearers of the association included Shahnawaz Ahmed (General Secretary) Rafi Ahmed Vaid (Vice President Irshad Ahmed Malik (Secretary) Bilal Ahmed Bhat (Vice President 2nd) Munier Ahmed (Coordinator)Bashir Ahmed Kar (Organiser) Manzoor Ahmed Wani (Publicity Secretary) Nasir Ahmed Zargar (Chief Organiser) Manzoor Ahmed Salla, Gulam Mohidin Akhoon, Bashir Ahmed Mir, Zahoor Ahmed. Zarger lamented that despite repeated requests the government is not coming to the rescue of the small and tiny cooperatives who are doing zeoman's services in reaching out to the farmers of the state by providing them core services. The cooperative movement which has started its revival on its own is being crushed due to the indifferent attitude of the authorities concerned and fertilizer companies. All present showed their anguish that fertilizer companies are by ignoring the rights and j stified claims of these small cooperative are promoting certain individuals by enchouging and promoting them. One National Level Cooperative Company whose main aim is to promote the cooperative movement is being run as a private enterprise by few individuals by ignoring the growth of all the cooperatives. He said, "One employee of this National Level Cooperative who is posted here for the last twenty years working as agent of a firm with ulterior motives" He demanded, " Main demands raised from time to time are monopoly is distribution and secondary movement be discouraged. Discrimination in area of operation be restored. Enhancement of trade margins and payments through RTGS only. Equitable distribution and allocation to all the cooperatives". The association fervently appealed to Chief Minister, Agriculture Minister and Minister for Cooperatives to kindly intervene in the matter so that poor cooperatives are being saved from dying. |
