| Youth electrocuted at Bhaderwah, PDD negligence alleged | | | Early Times Report
BHADERWA, Jan 30: A youth was today electrocuted while trying to hook an electric wire on an electric pole at Naska Chinta near here. Locals were up in arms after the incident as they alleged that the incident had occured due to the negligence of PDD authorities.
Police sources said Jagdish Singh (34) of Naska Chinta sustained an electric shock while attempting to hook an electric wire on a pole close to his residence, resulting in his instant death.
The incident sparked off strong resentment in the area, with people alleging that the incident took place because most of the electric wires in and around the village were losely tied to poles and timber trees, the sources added.
They urged the higher authorities to look into the matter and take immediate steps to repair the broken electric cables in the area.
Police had, however, registered a case in this connection.
