| CPI re-constitutes body | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 30: Election of Tehsil Committee of Communist Party of India R.S. Pura was held at Miran Sahib on under the Chairmanship of State Secretary, CPI J&K and member National Council of Communist Party of India Com Kanwal Dev.
Com Rakesh Sharma, Secretary Com Chander Bhushan, Com Romesh Sharma, Com Sham Lal, Com Oma Devi and Com Raj Paul were elected as members of the committee unanimously. Participating in the deliberation CPI members were critical about total neglect of the rural areas by the state government in carrying out development works, issues relating to peasantry particularly shortage of power and non-availability of water in the canal.
Kisan of the area who is fully dependent on agriculture produce, showed his dissatisfaction. A road leading to Kotli Mian Fateh to Gazia has been left unattended after laying gravel this is causing great problem for the people in the area and demand to lay bitumen carpet at the earliest.
