| Make Urdu job oriented: Dr Chaman | | |

JAMMU, Jan 30 : Former Member Legislative Assembly and District President National Conference Ramban Dr Chaman Lal has said that there is need to make Urdu as job oriented subject in the state where it is constitutional language.
Issuing press note here, Dr Chaman said that an organization Tehreek Baqai-e-Urdu (TBU) has already suggested creating Urdu Ministry and Urdu Advisory Board in the state which are very important demands for the future of Urdu.
He said that he appreciates Farooq Bukhari, Irfan Arif and Zakir Malik Bhallesi of TBU who had launched a campaign for creation of Urdu Ministry and Urdu Advisory Board. He said that he is impressed that people have become aware to save their constitutional language in the state and they are suggesting various ways for it.
Dr Chaman said he will also press for the demand or Urdu ministry and Board before Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and he is sure that Chief Minister will think on the proposal. He said that the demand is for the benefit of all as once created ministry and board will provide various opportunities to unemployed youth for getting government jobs. He added that other non governmental organizations should also support Tehreek Baqai-e- in this mission.
Saying that some people are creating confusion about Urdu and terming it a language of Muslims, Dr Chaman said that Urdu is Indian language and it belongs to Sanskrit race of languages. He said that Hindi is real sister of Urdu and all these languages have born in India. He said that those who are relating this language with Muslims are making conspiracies with an Indian language. |
