Rashid Monday dared ruling National Conference (NC) and opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to bring a resolution seeking clemency for Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru if they were sincere towards their people. "While coming out of the assembly on that day both PDP and NC had claimed that they were never against the resolution and had blamed each other for fall of the resolution" Er. Rashid said adding that now if they are sincere they should bring a resolution and pass it unanimously. "Let NC and PDP bring a resolution and get it through as the two parties together can pass it very easily even if congress and BJP oppose it" Rashid said. Meanwhile reacting to a news reports that Engineer Rasheed plans to bring amnesty resolution in favour of Parliament attack convict, Afzal Guru, as a private member in the assembly session, the speaker of J&K legislative assembly said, "According to the Assembly rules, if a resolution gets lapsed in one session it can't be brought back in the next session. If some member brings the bill, it won't be entertained." |
