Operation launched in Kishtwar to hunt down Delhi HC blast accused | | | Asif Iqbal Naik Kishtwar, Jan 30: Following inputs about the presence of five HM militants, including accused in September 7, 2011, Delhi high court blast accused, at Renie in Marwah area here, police and 11 RR troops have launched an operation. The police team of Special Striking Reserve (SSR) was led by SI Shiv Krishan Sharma, police sources said. The SSR men and 11 RR jawans had cordoned off about 5 km area of Mathwan, Renie, following specific inputs abut the presence of four HM militants, including some Delhi HC blast accused, in the area covered by 5-6 ft of snow, the sources added. The militants were identified as Amir Kamal alias Akram, Shakir Hussain alias Chota Hafiz, Sajjad Ahmed alias Rizwan and Mohammad Shafi. All of them were said to have taken shelter in the area. Sources said due to the accumulation of 5-6 ft of snow and lack of communication network in the area, the troops were moving towards the village very carefully. "The night temperature there is -10 degrees," the sources added. Sources said efforts were also being made to send a satellite phone to the cops so that they did not feel any problem while communicating with their seniors. The operation would continue till the militants were searched out and killed, the sources added. |
