Sikh delegation calls on Mubarak Gul, raises demands | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 30 :A 9 members of Shrionmani Akali Dal National Jammu Kashmir led by its President Gurbachan Singh Dutta today called on Advisor to Chief Minister Mubarak Gul in his office chamber and apprised him about the long pending legitimate issues pertaining to displaced person of 1947 from Pakistan occupy Kashmir and Sikh Minority community Revenue Secretary also attended the meeting. Gurdev Singh working president presented before advisor the factual state of affairs and plight of over 31000 registered Hindu/Sikh families clamoring for justice and rehabilitation for over six decades, since they forced out of POK in 1947. He urged upon the Advisor to impress upon the state govt. as well as central govt to compensate the DPS of 1947 from POK for the loss of their moveable and immoveable properties at Rs 30 lakh each family in shape of lump sump grant as one time settlement besides employment package/reservation of jobs and admission in professional Institution for their wards. They said that despite repeated commitments, central government is being kept in dark by making grossly misleading figures regarding families having deficient land as per sanctioned scale by the govt. Dyal Singh Wazir General Secy apprised the Advisor Mubark Gul about the deteriorating plight of minorities especially Sikh minority in the state. Advisor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured to take up the matter with the Chief Minister for early redressal of their long pending and legitimate problems. Others in delegation were Ranbir Sigh Manga, Santokh Singh Komal, Surinder Singh, Inderjeet Singh, Yoga Singh and Amrik Singh Roshan.
