Ravia Verma sparkles at tender age | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 31: Her mental toughness can be gauged by the fact that at a very tender age, she proved her mettle not only in studies but also in sports and other activities. Although she has achieved a lot at a very young age of 21, yet she is committed to add to the list of her achievements. She works hard to keep herself physically and mentally fit to face the challenges of life. It is her perseverant attitude that has brought laurels not only to her parents but to Jammu Institute of Ayuveda and Research (JIAR) of which she is a student. Ravia Verma, student of Jammu Institute of Ayurveda and Research (JIAR) of 2nd prof. senior batch 2008-2012 is a glorious student of the institute and rising sports person as well. She started her career in Gymnastics at a very small age and attended her first National in 1998 (XII sub Junior National Gymnastics Championship Andhra Pradesh) under the guidance of coach S.P Singh and Kripali Singh Patel (Arjun Awardee) who are themselves perfectionists and international judges. She got third place for the very first time in 7th National Aerobics Gymnastics Championship in 2004 in individual event. She got gold in (trio event) in 8th National Aerobics Gymnastic Championship. In 9th Aerobic Gymnastic Championship again, she secured first place in M.P event. Apart from ports Career, she is also a meritorious student of JIAR. Selected through JKCET, Ravia passed Ist year B.A.M.S with sixth rank and two distinctions. With much National participation, achievements, state representations, Ravia has been presented 'Award of Honor' by J&K Gymnastics Association in appreciation for medal winner and achievements in National Gymnastic Championships. It is not the end, Ravia is striving hard to become an international gymnast. |
