| J&K Mahilla Congress organised two days meet | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Jan 31 : The Jammu and Kashmir Mahilla Congress organised a two day meetings in Doongi Grahthi, Rajouri.
The meeting was attended by Lalita Joshi All India Mahilla Congress(AIMC) ,Vice president ,J& K in charge and Indu Pawar MLA, President J & K Mahilla Congress and large number of people from Rajouri and adjoining areas. The meetings were held in various blocks of Rajouri.
Vice president AIMC Joshi paid rich tributes to Mahatma Gandhi and said that sacrifice is one of the most pious giving of human nature and Gandhi ji was an epitome of sacrifice. She emphasized on committing for the cause of nation . She appealed to the women of far flung areas to come forward and participate actively in upliftment and policy decisions.
Indu Pawar also spoke on the occasion and paid homage to Father of the nation. She focused on secularism taught by Gandhi ji and appealed the public to imbibe the Gandhian ideology for peace and progress.
She also said the Congress is devoted towards the upliftment of people of downtrodden and far flung areas.
District head of Mahilla Congress Manju Sharma conducted the proceedings of the meetings.
Prominent among the participants were Yashpal (Sarpanch Sisalkot), Riyaz (sarpanch Block Dongi) , Sunita Devi , Bipin Kumar ( naib sarpanh ) , Rekha Devi , Sonia Devi , Sunita Kumari , Asha Sharma. |
