| Prof Kiran Sumbali Bhan Superannuates | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 31: Department of Education, University of Jammu bid an affectionate and respectful farewell to Dr Kiran Sumbali Bhan, Professor of Education, on her superannuation after an illustrious career spread over nearly 38 years. Vice Chancellor of JammuUniversity Prof M P S Isher graced the occasion.
Prof Sumbali is a Member of the Syndicate of the University and Convener, Board of Studies in Teacher Education. In her long career which started with joining the University in 1974 as a Lecturer, she served in various capacities including Dean, Faculty of Behavioral Sciences and Head of the Department of Education.
Widely known for her teaching abilities and research in the field of Psychology and Education, she guided 12 scholars for award of Ph D degree and more than 400 students in their research theses as part of M Phil, MA Education and M Ed programs. She is author of two books titled "Psychology of Aggression" and "Stress Management" and has published over 30 research papers in journals of repute.
Her long association with the University of Jammu and contributions were recalled by Prof Lokesh Verma, Head of the Department of Education on this occasion. |
