Drugs amounting to Rs 9500 seized

UDHAMPUR, Jan 31: In its drive the Drug Food Control Organization (DFCO) Ramban has seized drugs amounting to Rs. 9500/- from an unauthorized shop at village Khari of tehsil Banihal in Ramban district.
According to the Assistant Controller Drugs, Udhampur-Reasi-Ramban, Munish Gupta, a checking squad headed by Drug Inspector Ramban, Tajveer Singh during a surprise check found one Tanveer Ahmed S/O Gulam Nabi R/O Khari tehsil Banihal of district Ramban running a shop without any valid drug sale license. The action taken under the provision of Drug Cosmetic Act 1940 rules there under is being initiated against the defaulter. Assistant Controller Drugs has issued strict instructions to the dealers associated with the sale of drugs to comply with the Provisional Act otherwise strict action would be warranted under rules against the defaulters.
