Jammu, Jan 31: People's Democratic Party (PDP) Basohli today expressed concern over delay in sanctioning of pensions to old women, widows, handicapped & weaker section of the society.
In a meeting held his presidentship at Basohli Zonal President Yoginder Singh said that the department of Social Welfare under the NC- Congress coalition has been working for the welfare of only those people who were close to Ministers, MLA's & Bureaucrates and really deserving ones were deprived of what they should be given.
He said that the poor widows, aged women & women belonging to weaker section were made to suffer as they take rounds of social welfare department for pension and benefits of other schemes. He urged the department to clear all the cases lying unattended for long time.
Mohan Lal, Abdul Qayam, Anil Singh, Rajesh Kumar, Mukhtiar Singh Pritam Singh, Sat Paul were Prominent present in the meeting. |
