JAMMU , Jan 31 :Martand tirath trust improvement charitable trust at Surya Bhawan Paloura, Trust celebrated the annual Maha Yaghna of sun god Martand for the peace and prosperity, from very ancient times this day is celebrated as the birth day of the sun god Martand ji the 13Th name of the sun god, this tirath is world famous and only temple of the sun god in the north India the Hawan was performed at both the places at Martand Mattan Kashmir and at camp office at Martand Surya Bhawan at Paloura , on this auspicious day on Magha Shukla Paksh Saptami the Hawan started on 29 jan 2012 by the well known pandit of the community in the evening at 6 pm.
A large number of people attended the function Prominent persons who attended the function include Vijay Bakaya, MLC, Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President, National Conference, H.N Jattu of all India Kashmiri Pandit Conference, R.K Raina, R.L Raina, S.L Tikoo, B.N Bawnoo etc.
President of the Trust M.K Yogi thanked the people for their participation. M.K Yogi said that all arangement had been made to perform the Hawan and other arrangement for the same he further requested all the authority for their whole hearted support in the organzing of this day elaborate arrangements were made by the trust hundreds of the devotees attend this day.
