| Dogri scholars, NPSU demand for creation of posts for Dogri | | |  EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Jan 31: Dogri Research Scholars' Forum (DRSF) and NPSU jointly staged a protest in Jammu University. The students and scholars while staging protest demanded for the absorbance of scholar as 10+2 and college lecturers in various higher secondary schools and colleges.
DRSF president Sunil Sharma said, "Last time only one post was sanctioned by PSC for college lecturer and in 16 colleges all the lecturers are working on contractual basis". He further said in Jammu region there are above than 300 higher secondary schools, where students want to learn the subject but in absence of faculty they can't take the subject and finally turn up with some other combination.
Virender Thakur, NPSU president said, "Though the language has been introduced in 8th schedule but the state government is doing nothing to promote this language".
Sunil Sharma also called upon various organization working for the promotion of language to join for the cause.
He appealed state CM and education minister to check into the matter and take further initiative for creating posts for Dogri lecturers for the promotion of Dogri Language.
