| Non baillable warrant against PDP MLA issued | | | early times report
Srinagar, Jan 31: In what can be termed as a significance development Additional Sessions Judge Anti Corruption Tuesday issued non bailable warrant against PDP MLA Peerzada Mansoor Hussain in multi crore in Rural Development Scam of early 1990's. Interestingly the warrant has been ordered to be executed through Assembly Secretariat.
It merits a mention here that in the 8 crore Rural Development Scam in which the then Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, District Planning Officer and a number of other rural development officials including Peerzada Mansoor Hussain- the then Junior Engineer in Rural Development Engineering Wing Anantnag (now MLA Shangus) were the main accused.
Peerzada Mansoor remained absent on a number of occasions during hearing of the case forcing the Court to forefeet the bail- bonds. The court has also issued notice for recovery of bail amount.
Sources said that senior prosecuting officer Aijaz Ahmad has also been served a notice who
had furnished bail bonds on behalf Peerzada Mansoor asking him to show cause why the bail amount be not recovered from him.
When contacted Secretary Assembly Muhammad Ramzan said that he has not received any such warrant as yet. "However, if the same reaches to our office , we will ensure that the warrant reaches Peerzada" Ramzan said. |
