Peerzada's unfair means case, Crime Branch starts investigation
Local congress favours sacking of Peerzada bashir assad
2/1/2012 12:05:22 AM
Jammu, Jan 31: The Crime Branch of Jammu and Kashmir Police has started investigations into the unfair means case of the son of Education Minister Peerzada Muhammad Sayed which surfaced only the other day.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had ordered investigations by crime branch into the alleged unfair means practices adopted by Peerzada's son in passing his regular matriculation examination in 2009.
Confirming that they have received the case file in the morning today, sources in the Crime Branch told Early Times that the same has been sent to the appropriate quarters for investigations.
" We are on job, the case has been taken up for investigation on priority and hopefully we will come up with our findings within the stipulated time" sources said.
Meanwhile demand for sacking of the education minister within Congress has started gaining momentum as its leaders from both the regions Tuesday remained in touch either with PCC president professor Saifudin Soz or Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad impressing upon the duo to persuade the party high command for immediate action against Peerzada on the charges of facilitating his son's success in matriculation examination through unfair means.
Sources within Congress while confirming this to Early Times said that majority of the leadership from both factions of state congress unit are in favour of sacking Peerzada on the given analogy of G M Saroori who was shown exit from the council of ministers on more or less similar charges.
A senior Congress leader wishing anonymity said that case for showing exit to Peerzada was even more strong that that of G M Saroori who was sacked on the charges of impersonation of his daughter.
"Unlike Saroori, here is a proved case against Peerzada, the party high command should not waste even an iota of second to call him back from the cabinet" said the leader.
