CB to seek help of handwriting expert | | | Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Feb 1: Former PCC chief and minister in Omar Abdullah government, Peerzada Mohammad Syed is in trouble in an alleged unfair means case in secondary school examination involving his son. Two days after Omar ordered an inquiry into the alleged case, crime branch (CB) was likely to seek the help of some expert to match the handwriting on answer sheets with that of his son. For the purpose, the CB was likely to take original handwriting notes of the minister's son, sources said. The CB would also question the then deputy director, academics, secretary BOSE (now chairman) and the staff members who were on duty at the time of examination, the sources added. If the allegation was proved to be true, it would cause much embarrasment to Congress. PDP was expected to exploit the issue for political reasons. It may also ask for the removal of some "tainted" ministers in Omar government. |
