Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 1: Though Chief minister Omar Abdullah to show his good governance has taken a prompt action in case reported about use of UFM (Unfair Means) by son of Minister for Education Peerzada Sayeed, yet he fails to win the applauds from some youths who say Omar is adopting different yards sticks in clear cases of bungling as by the irregularities committed by nodal agency of recruitment i.e. State Service Recruitment Board (SSRB).
"It may be his political compulsions in shielding his cabinet minister hailing from valley, and by doing so Omar had hit two birds with one stone he had won pat from Congress by showing that he had saved its (Congress) pawn, secondly Omar had tried to win valley vote by saving a minister hailing from valley, some students in Jammu University alleged on anonymity.
"We are really surprised that Chief Minister took cognizance of the news report published in a local daily and handed over the case file to the crime branch the same day, said a student who is in a bewildered state as the chief minister acted promptly.
"If CM was so serious to act in this case why didn't he asked Congress as he did in case of G M Saroori, but I seems Saroori got punished for being his connection with Jammu region not to Kashmir, they said further adding, "fault of the duo is same as they (Peerzada and Saroori) both are the guardians of the beneficiaries who used Unfair Means but the action taken against them by the same Chief Minister is completely different."
Meanwhile another aspirant for Niab Tehsildar post satirically said while we are running from pillar to post for over last one year highlighting the grave irregularities committed by the SSRB authorities in preparing the selection list of Naib Tehsildar examination but Chief Minister has not winked even his eyelids or took cognizance of the facts revealed in the RTI reply but the manner he acted just like a second's hand of clock in Peerzada's case left us amazed.
Pertinent to mention RTI reply has revealed that Mohd Najiullah s/o of Mohd Shabir Ahmad Shah topped the Naib Tehsildar exam by securing 118/120 marks despite his poor academic record.
The aggrieved students said, we waited for so long to extract RTI reply from the SSRB authorities and after receiving the same we represented our genuine concern to the SSRB functionaries but no one bothered to take note of it.
The students said, the state chief minister is also adopting different yardsticks to deliver justice.
The students who wished to remain anonymous claimed that when RTI reply has established the fact that topper of the Naib Tehsildar examination had a poor academic track record and more than 10 questions were either incorrect or had more than one correct options how could a student manage to secure 118/120 marks. The students want chief minister act in similar spirit by directing SSRB authorities to present all the records pertaining to Naib Tehsildar examination and see how the SSRB functionaries bungled to accommodate high profile students under his nose.
