Drive against adulteration and encroachment held
Fine of Rs 1850 recovered from defaulters

KATHUA, Feb 1 : In order to curb and keep a check on the menace of adulteration and illegal encroachments, a team of Municipality Committee Basohli today paid surprise raid in the Bus Stand area of the town. Executing officer Basohli Municipality Ramesh Gupta along with food inspector Subash Raina raided the main bazaar of the bus stand area and immediately drowned adulterated 40 Ltrs milk. The team also found 40 kg inedible vegetables, sweets and fruits from the market.
The team further removed illegal encroachment in the bazaar. Team also passed strict warning to the shopkeepers with assurance of non occurrence in the near future. The team members also passed instructions to the sanitary supervisor to maintain the sanitation and cleanliness in all the shops of the bazaar. Fine to the tune Rs 1850 was also recovered by the team.
