Ajay Mittal wins 55th National Shooting Championship at Delhi | Omair Alam bags 12th and Shiraz 13th position | | Early Times Report
Kishtwar, Feb 1: Ajay Mittal of Haryana becomes the new shooting champion after winning the 55th National Shooting Championship played at Dr. Karni Range in New Delhi while Jammu and Kashmir begged 12th and 13th position. Mittal won the Championship by scoring 138 hits to the target out of 150 while Sangram Dayia of Delhi nd Rajwardan Singh Rathore represents Army remain at 2nd and 3rd with 137 and 135 hits respectively. In this prestigious National Level shooting competition, State of Jammu and Kashmir was represented by Shiraz Alam a Gold Medal winner of 33rd North Zone championship and Omair Alam. Showing his better performance for Jammu and Kashmir state, Omair Alam scored 122/150 hits while Shiraz Alam scored 121/150 hits and remained at 12th and 13thposition respectively. When contacted Shiraz Alam and Omair Alam, both said that they are satisfied with their performance at India's highest sporting event in shooting where they both compete with internationally reputed players of shooting. They said that they will continue their efforts for making his performance better and will improve their performance and rank in upcoming events. Both the players expressed its gratitude to Jammu and Kashmir Shooting Association for their overall support and hoped that the association will continue its support with both of them in future as well. |
