| IGP Slathia felicitates JKP Cricket Team | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 1: For winning the twin titles of Diwali Premier League and Christmas Cup by defeating star-studded clubs of Jammu in the title clashes, Inspector General of Police Armed/IRP, Jammu, Gulzar Singh Slathia felicitated the Jammu and Kashmir Police Cricket Team in an impressive felicitation function at Gulshan Ground, here today.
The IGP, distributed cash awards and certificates to the members of the Police Cricket team. The outstanding performances of Rajesh Gill Captain of JKP XI and Farooq Ahmed who was declared as man of the Series and RK Bhatt and Shamsher who were declared as best bowlers in the tournaments were also appreciated by the IGP, Slathia. On this occasion , the technical members namely Rajesh Dhar (Commentator), Sudhir Singh (Umpire), Harbinder Singh (Umpire), JDSingh (Umpire), RP Singh (Commentator), Rakesh Pandita (Commentator), Shashi Paul (Umpire),Y ogesh Sharma (scorer) were also honoured with mementoes and certificates of appreciation for their technical support to the J&K Police department in organizing different sports events.The JKP Cricket XI participated in the different cricket tournaments under the supervision of Dilbag Singh, IGP Jammu , who always encouraged the players of the JKP XI for the better performance against the rival teams. And after winning both the tournaments IGP, Jammu had already awarded the cash awards to the Police Cricket team.The J&K Police department under the leadership of DGP Kuldeep Khoda ADGP, K.Rajindra and IGP, Jammu Sh.Dilbag Singh have organized different sports events for the promotion of sports culture in the state and to provide so many platforms for the youths of the state to exhibit their skills and talent. Besides this, they also encouraged the J&K Police teams.
