| IGP suspends PSI for misbehaving with driver | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 1: IGP (Jammu zone) Dilbagh Singh today ordered the suspension of a probationary sub-inspector (PSI) for misbehaving with an elderly driver at Manthal in Katra, Reasi. PSI Sanjay Raina was placed under suspension by the IGP for misbehaving with an elderly driver and showing high-handedness during checking at Manthal naka point, police sources said. The IGP took the action after the driver approached him, alleging that the PSI had misbehaved with him and roughed him up at the Manthal police naka. The preliminary inquiry conducted into the complaint showed that the PSI had behaved overbearingly at the naka, the sources added. Sources said the IGP had asked all the district SPs in the region to ensure that commoners were not harassed by cops during checking. |
